maroutas I originally knew Matthew's music from the metal scene, and was pleasantly surprised to find his latest release would be recordings of Bartok's 44 Duos. Playing a duet with oneself is very challenging. despite the miracles of modern recording. Musicians feel and "feed" and from each other's performance live but here Matthew managed to make it sound like he was two distinct and quite talented people! If you are fan of Bartok or early 20th century music give it a go, you won't be disappointed. Favorite track: Tót nóta (Slovakian Song).

geff02 I absolutely loved the complex, subversive compositions, masterfully played by Matthew Dakoutros.
A folk gently touch from a refined instrument such as the violin.
Favorite track: Oláh nóta (Wallachian Song) [Featuring Giannis Ismirnioglou].
